I was recently in Florida visiting family. I’ve never considered myself a beach person, although I like visiting on occasion, forest and mountains are more my speed. Whether you see yourself as one or the other, I think there is a sense of wonder and exploration in any new adventure. It’s a feeling of freedom and excitement when you face openness in different part of the world. Wind through your hair, sun on your skin and eyes open wide to the beauty of our planet. These moments can give you a sense of scale and peace in a life that can feel overwhelming. Long exposures can show interesting things, how the world can be seen over time. Trees and plants take on brushed or chaotic looks where as water seems to always take on the calm. Waves can be crashing into the coast, water falling forcefully from a cliff or rushing down a river but in a long exposure all of those moments soften. Perspective can make all the difference. It can also be the difference in inspiration or moments past.
